Welcome to the Tang Soo Do schools of Northern Virginia. We are comprised of Morning Star Tang Soo Do, NoVa Tang Soo Do I and NoVa Tang Soo Do II.  We belong to the World Tang Soo Do Association which enjoys over 250,000 members worldwide. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean karate with a very rich history. This ancient form of martial art is known for having the most effective training methods for self-discipline, self-confidence, physical fitness, stress management and the ultimate form of self-defense techniques. 35% of our association’s total membership includes women, children and older adult students. Our students range in age from 4 years old to over 60 years old.
 

The real value of Tang Soo Do is not the belt you earn, but the changes that occur within you, in your quest to attain it. These changes include the betterment of your mind, body and spirit; the development of individual character and respect for others. The true goal of Tang Soo Do training is to use the lessons you learn in the studio to enrich every part of your life. We are supported by the World Tang Soo Do Association, which provides our instructors with training, guidance and certification. The Soon Family was given the prestigious Region 8 “Family of the Year” award in 2001 for their dedication to the World Tang Soo Do Association, Region 8, and their students. Our schools provide a safe environment for families and for anyone who wants good health, good friends, and self-confidence. We have an excellent record of safety. We are a family and we belong to the World Tang Soo Do Family.
